When I heard the news that a guy bought a $106,000 suit with 9 types of wool blended together and 9 Pave Diamond buttons, I would normally say that the economy hasn't bottomed yet because people still have too much money.
BUT when I look at other things like people's attitudes (generally positive), the stock market (which is usually 6-9 months ahead of the economy) which feels like it's creeping up a bit, several companies are starting to turn profits, and movies like Fast And The Furious raking in the bucks...I think maybe we've turned the corner and by the end of the year we'll be in fairly good shape.
So the $106,000 suit is really just a guy who's a jerk and shouldn't flaunt stuff like that while the norm is suffering. For the time being, the expensive suit barometer has been waived.
